from Arthur’s life as a Pianist in Houston

April 10, 2017 by Joyce T. Snodgrass

I asked some friends for kindnesses to share, this is from Arthur Crissey who is a blind pianist I’ve known for many years:

I have two kindnesses to report. The first comes from our friend Anna. Sometime ago she didn’t have the money to fix her car. It was $200. We gave her the money.

Since then she’s been driving us to and from my gig every Thursday night. We’ve tried to pay her but she won’t accept it. Because of cataracts Marie can no longer drive at night. So it is really a kindness.

The second kindness happened last week. After the gig when Marie was counting the tips one had a note attached. Here’s what it said “You are an inspiration! You have a wonderful talent and I’m glad you shared it with me today.”

Bless you, Arthur
